Specialists in Electrolux

Why LA Trusts Us With Electrolux

Electrolux sits a clear step above its sibling Frigidaire, and Angelenos buy it for exactly that reason: architectural stainless bodies, illuminated Wave Touch and IQ Touch controls, chamfered induction glass and the strongest front load laundry lineup on the market. When one of those refined systems throws a code or quits, you want an Electrolux repair company that recognizes the E prefix error language and the shared Frigidaire hardware underneath, not a generalist guessing at it. Repairly is a licensed and insured, family owned business, and our certified technicians work on Electrolux every week across Los Angeles.

Because Electrolux and Frigidaire share compressors, control boards and heating parts, most fridge, dryer and range components are stocked and affordable, so the same technician and many of the same OEM parts cover both brands. We come out same day where scheduling allows, diagnose the real fault instead of swapping parts blindly, and repair rather than replace whenever it makes sense for you. A well kept Electrolux lasts many years with care, and a targeted repair is almost always far cheaper than a new appliance. If a legacy Wave Touch or ICON board is involved, we will tell you honestly what parts availability looks like before you commit.

  • Certified technicians on all major and luxury brands
  • OEM parts on every truck, never generic substitutes

Refrigerators

Electrolux Refrigerator Repair

Electrolux French door, counter depth and side by side refrigerators pair Luxury Glide drawers and PureAdvantage filtration with control hardware shared with Frigidaire, so their fault codes speak a language we already know. We handle everything from a warm fresh food section to the specific SY EF and SY CF error family. When cooling is failing, we diagnose whether it is a fan, a defrost issue or a sealed system leak before recommending any parts.

  • Not cooling / sealed system or fan failure

The fridge section warms while the freezer may stay cold, most often from a failed evaporator fan motor, a stuck defrost cycle, or a low refrigerant sealed system leak. Sealed system compressor and condenser work is a professional job we are equipped to perform.

  • Evaporator fan icing / SY EF error

An intermittent SY EF (or 5Y EF) code signals an evaporator fan circuit fault: the fan stalls, ices over or gets noisy as cold air migrates to the drain. We replace the fan motor and clear the built up defrost and drain ice so it does not recur.

  • Control board communication / SY CF error

SY CF (or 5Y CF) means the main control board and the door display board have lost communication, so temperature and features cannot be adjusted. A brief unplug reset can clear a glitch, but a persistent code points to a board or wiring harness failure we replace.

  • Ice maker not making or dispensing ice

Weak or no ice is usually a clogged water filter restricting flow, a failed water inlet valve, or a frozen fill tube, and cubes can jam in the chute and trigger an alarm. Replacing the filter, inlet valve or ice maker module restores output.

Ranges

Electrolux Range Repair

Electrolux has shifted its US range lineup toward induction, gas and dual fuel models with pro style knobs and signature pinstriped glass, while conventional smooth top electric ranges have largely been phased out. These ranges share the EOC and oven sensor architecture found across Electrolux and Frigidaire, so we know the F10 and F11 codes cold and exactly why self clean is hard on them. We repair the electronics, the sensor circuits and gas ignition alike.

  • F10 thermal runaway / oven sensor fault

F10 means the electronic oven control senses a runaway temperature through the sensor circuit, usually from a failed oven temperature sensor (around 1100 ohms at room temp; over roughly 2200 ohms means replace it) or the control board. It often appears within a couple of weeks after a self clean cycle.

  • F11 shorted keypad / control button

F11 indicates a shorted button on the electronic oven control keypad. A ten minute power off reset may clear it, but a recurring F11 usually means the membrane keypad or the EOC needs replacement, which we carry out with OEM parts.

  • Post self clean control failure

The extreme heat of the self clean cycle is a well documented killer of the EOC and can blow the thermal fuse behind the control, leaving the oven dead or throwing an F code. We replace the failed control or fuse and generally advise cleaning manually going forward.

  • Gas burner won't ignite or weak flame

On gas and dual fuel ranges a clicking but no light burner or a weak flame usually traces to a dirty or wet spark igniter, a clogged burner port, or a failed igniter switch. Cleaning the igniter and ports or replacing the spark module restores reliable ignition.

Ovens

Electrolux Oven Repair

Electrolux 30-inch single and double electric wall ovens bring Air Sous Vide, Steam Bake and built in Air Fry behind a minimalist dark glass control strip. They use the same EOC and oven sensor design as the ranges, so the error codes overlap and we diagnose them the same proven way. From dead heating elements to stuck self clean latches and steam faults, we service the whole built in.

  • F10 runaway temperature / oven sensor

The same EOC and sensor fault family as the ranges: the control reads a runaway temperature through the oven sensor. We test the sensor first (around 1100 ohms at room temperature); a high or open reading means we replace the sensor, otherwise we suspect the EOC.

  • Oven not heating / bake element or EOC

A wall oven that will not reach temperature commonly has a failed bake or broil element with a visible break or blister, a bad relay on the EOC, or a tripped thermal fuse, often after a self clean cycle. Element and control board replacement are the usual repairs.

  • Self clean door lock stuck / latch failure

The motorized self clean latch can jam locked or unlocked, throwing a lock fault and leaving the door stuck shut. We replace the latch assembly or its motor and switch to free the door and restore normal operation.

  • Steam / Air Sous Vide feature faults

On steam capable models a low or empty water reservoir, a failed water pump, or a clogged steam line can stop the Steam Bake and Air Sous Vide functions or throw a prompt. Descaling and pump or valve service usually resolve it.

Electrolux cooktop repair in a Los Angeles home

Cooktops

Electrolux Cooktop Repair

Induction is the flagship Electrolux cooktop technology, wrapped in frameless chamfered black glass with hidden capacitive controls that light only when a pan is detected. That elegance also means a specific set of faults, from pan not detected 'F' prompts to E4-series overheat codes and dead zones. We diagnose at the coil and power board level, and we are candid about when a symptom is simply the wrong cookware.

  • 'F' / pan not detected error

A blinking 'F' or 'F1' on an induction cooktop most often means no compatible pan is detected because the cookware is not ferromagnetic, or is too small or off center. Magnetic cast iron or magnetic stainless cookware and a mains reset usually clear it; an F plus digit code needs service.

  • Overheat protection / E4-series codes

E4, E401, E402, E421 and E431-type codes indicate the cooking zone overheat protection has tripped from blocked ventilation, an overheated coil, or a failing temperature sensor. We confirm airflow around the unit; recurring codes point to a coil or board fault we repair.

  • Element won't heat / power board failure

A single zone that will not power on, cuts out under load, or clicks off usually means a failed induction coil or the zone's power and inverter board. This is a board level diagnosis and repair rather than a user fix, and it is one we perform regularly.

  • Cracked or scratched glass surface

The glass ceramic surface can crack from impact or thermal shock, such as a dropped pot or a cold spill on a hot zone. A cracked surface is a safety issue, so the entire glass top must be replaced and the cooktop should not be used until it is.

Electrolux dryer repair in a Los Angeles home

Dryers

Electrolux Dryer Repair

Laundry is Electrolux's strongest current US category, and its 27-inch front load Perfect Steam dryers in Titanium and White are a genuine specialty of ours. They share heating and control architecture with Frigidaire, so the E codes overlap and E64 is a fault we see and fix constantly. From no heat circuits to drums that will not turn, we get these dryers back to a full LuxCare cycle.

  • No heat / E64 heater circuit open

E64 is the signature Electrolux and Frigidaire no heat code: the board sent power to the heater but detected no current draw, meaning the heating element circuit is open. The most common cause by far is a burned out heating element; loose wiring and a blown thermal fuse are secondary causes.

  • E63 heater short to ground

E63 means the control detected a ground short at the heating element, usually a defective element that has shorted to its housing, or less often a control board fault. The element assembly is the typical replacement, which we carry out with OEM parts.

  • Intermittent heat / sagging element

After many cycles the heating coil can sag and intermittently touch its metal can during tumbling, causing on and off heat or an intermittent E64. A thermistor out of spec (around 50,000 to 55,000 ohms at room temperature) also causes erratic heat, so we replace the element or thermistor as needed.

  • Won't spin / drum not turning

A dryer that runs but does not tumble usually has a broken drive belt, worn drum rollers or glides, or a failed idler pulley or drive motor. If nothing runs and 'LOC' shows, the control lock is simply engaged rather than a mechanical fault.

Electrolux Repair Questions

Is my Electrolux appliance worth repairing or should I replace it?

As a rule of thumb, if the appliance is not too old and the repair costs well under a replacement, repair it. Electrolux appliances are built to last with care, and a targeted repair is almost always far cheaper than buying new. We will give you an honest recommendation before any work.

My dryer shows E64 and won't heat. What does that mean and can it be fixed?

E64 is an open heater circuit, meaning the board sent power to the heater but detected no current draw. In most cases it is a burned out heating element, which is a very common and fully repairable Electrolux dryer fault. It is one of the repairs we do most often, usually same day.

My fridge stopped cooling or shows SY EF or SY CF. Is that fixable?

Yes. SY EF is typically an evaporator fan or icing issue, and SY CF is a control board communication fault between the main board and the door display. Both are standard in home repairs for our certified technicians, and we clear any underlying drain or defrost icing so the problem does not return.

Should I use the self clean cycle on my Electrolux oven?

We often advise against it. The extreme heat of the self clean cycle is a leading cause of blown EOC control boards and F10 or F11 codes on these ovens, and it can blow the thermal fuse behind the control. Cleaning manually is gentler on the electronics and helps the oven last longer.

Do you service both Electrolux and its sister brand Frigidaire, and are parts easy to get in LA?

Yes to both. Electrolux and Frigidaire share compressors, control boards and heating parts, so the same technician and many of the same OEM parts cover both brands. Most fridge, dryer and range parts are stocked and affordable, though a few legacy Wave Touch or ICON boards and certain overseas sourced parts can have longer lead times, which we flag upfront.
