Oven not heating or weak bake
No heat or slow to temp usually means a failed bake or broil element on electric models (often a visible break or blistering) or a weak gas igniter that glows but never reaches ignition current. A drifting oven temperature sensor can also under- or over heat, and we test each before replacing.

Overheating / runaway temperature (C-21, C-24)
C-21 means the cavity spiked far past the safe limit, a genuine fire hazard, so cancel and shut it off. It usually traces to a failed temperature probe reading the cavity as cold or a stuck control board relay; C-24 is a slower over rate rise, often from blocked vents. We replace the sensor and verify it reads roughly 1,100 ohms at room temperature.

Precision Knob and knob light problems
Samsung's metal Precision Knobs pinch, push, and turn, and light up when a burner is on. Owners report knobs that no longer illuminate, feel loose, or crack at the collar; we swap the knob and knob LED assembly, and if a burner won't light despite the knob turning, we chase the spark module or igniter instead.

Wall ovens fail to heat for the same reasons as the ranges: a broken bake or broil element with a visible break or blistering, or a drifting oven temperature sensor. We check the element for continuity and the sensor for roughly 1,100 ohms at room temperature to isolate which one it is.

Control panel and touch faults (SE, C d0)
Like the ranges, wall ovens throw SE for a shorted touch panel and C d0 for a stuck key on the membrane, or, on some models, a demo/showroom mode where the controls respond but no heat is produced. A persistent SE means a touchpad or control replacement, which we handle.

Overheating / C-21 runaway
The same C-21 severe overheat code appears on wall ovens when a failed temperature probe tells the control the cavity is cold and it over fires the element. We treat it as urgent, power off, prop the door, and replace the sensor before the oven is used again.

Self clean damage and stuck door lock
High heat self clean can trip the thermal fuse or damage the control board and leave the door latched shut. We replace the door latch assembly and thermal fuse, and advise skipping the hottest self clean cycle that stresses wall oven electronics the same way it does the ranges.
Cooktops
Samsung Cooktop Repair
Samsung's standalone cooktops, radiant electric, induction, and gas, are separate from the ranges, and the induction models bring their own inverter board and pan detection behavior. We read the code letters correctly, which matters here: a stuck button d0 is a very different fix from a C series sensor fault or an E-84 supply problem. From cracked glass to a dead zone, we get the affected burner back.

Induction pan detection error (underlined 'u')
Induction only: an underlined 'u' means the element sees no compatible pan, cookware that's non magnetic, too small, or off center. Often it's placement or cookware, but a failed pan detection sensor or coil can leave a burner that never engages, which we test for.

Sensor errors (C0, C1, C2, C3)
C0 through C3 flag a temperature sensor fault on a burner or coil. A 30-second power cycle can clear a glitch, but a persistent code means a failed thermistor or an overheated inverter/coil assembly, and induction units need at least about two inches of clearance below for the boards to cool, which we verify.

Stuck button error (d0)
d0 means the touch panel detects a button held continuously, usually water, a spill, a pot, or a wet or cracked glass surface bridging the sensor. We dry and power cycle first, and if it recurs, the touch control board is failing and gets replaced.

Communication and power errors (F0, F1, F2, E-84)
F0 through F2 are communication faults between the cooktop's control boards, cleared first with a 30-second power cycle; a recurring code means a board fault. On induction, incoming voltage below about 200V or above 250V triggers E-84, a supply or wiring problem we help you trace, not the cooktop itself.

HE and HC are Samsung's signature dryer codes: HE flags a heating problem, a burnt out element, blown thermal cutoff, or a half tripped 240V breaker feeding only one leg, while HC flags overheating, usually from a clogged lint screen or vent or a bad thermistor. tE is a separate temperature sensor fault, and we test to confirm before replacing.

Not spinning / drum won't turn
A dryer that runs but won't tumble usually has a snapped or slipped drive belt, a seized idler pulley, or a failed drive motor; if the drum won't turn by hand with the belt off, the support rollers are worn. Left alone, a squealing pulley can snap the belt or burn out the motor, so we catch it early.

Loud squealing, grinding, or rumbling
High pitched squealing points to a dry idler pulley, while rumbling or grinding points to worn drum rollers and axles or a bad rear bearing. We replace the rollers and pulley as a set so a cheap noise job doesn't come back as a motor replacement.

Not drying / long cycles
Clothes still damp after a full cycle usually means restricted airflow, lint screen, blower wheel, or a long kinked vent, or a moisture sensor bar coated in fabric softener film that ends the cycle early. On ventless heat pump models a clogged condenser or full condensate reservoir also stops drying, and we service both.

What do the SE, 22E, C-21, and HE codes on my Samsung mean, and is it safe to keep using?
SE is a shorted touch panel on ranges and ovens, and 22E is a fridge evaporator fan or cooling problem, both should be serviced but aren't emergencies. C-21 is a severe oven overheat and is a genuine fire hazard, so cancel the cycle and shut the appliance off. HE is a dryer heating fault.
