Ice maker not making ice or leaking (Er IF)
Er IF flags the ice maker fan, usually from frost in the ice maker housing, while in door ice makers commonly leak or overfill from a cracked fill tube, a bad water inlet valve, or a control board that won't shut the water off. Craft Ice and standard in door makers both come to us jamming, overflowing or freezing solid.

Water dispenser leaking or no water
Dispenser trouble usually traces to a frozen or kinked water line, a clogged filter, air in the line after a filter change, or a failed water inlet valve. A water line freeze up in the door is a recurring French door complaint we clear regularly.
Ranges
LG Range Repair
LG sells a full range lineup in gas, electric radiant and induction, in freestanding and slide in formats, with ProBake Convection, Air Fry and the InstaView oven window. Failures split between the cooktop, where igniters and elements act up, and the oven, where heating and control board errors take over. We repair both sides and read the error codes correctly so you're not paying for the wrong part.

Oven not heating (F9 / F19)
F9 means the oven didn't reach roughly 150F in about five minutes and F19 is a general heating error, usually a cracked bake or broil element, a bad temperature sensor, thermal fuse or control board on electric models. On gas ranges it's typically a weak oven igniter that no longer draws enough current to open the gas safety valve.

Gas burner clicking but won't ignite
Constant clicking with no flame usually means a weak or failed surface igniter, or a burner cap that's wet, dirty or misaligned after cleaning. Igniters typically weaken after several years, so the fix is cleaning and drying the burner or replacing the igniter.

Control or communication error (F11)
F11 is a communication fault between the main control board and the display board, which can lock out the whole range. Repair usually means pulling the unit to inspect the harness between boards or replacing a failed board.

Touch pad or sensor key error (F3)
On LG ranges, F3 points to a touch pad sensor key error, a stuck or failed control panel key or membrane. A breaker power cycle sometimes clears it, but a persistent F3 usually means the touch panel or control board needs service.
Ovens
LG Oven Repair
LG builds built in electric wall ovens in single, double and oven microwave combo layouts, including flush installing LG STUDIO models with the wide InstaView window. They share the range's heating and electronics faults, plus wall oven specific self clean and door problems. Note that LG wall ovens are electric only, so there are no gas wall ovens to service. We repair the heating, the sensors and the boards that keep yours from holding temperature.

Oven not heating or uneven heat (F9)
As on ranges, F9 flags a failure to reach temperature in time, commonly from a failed bake or broil element, a drifting temperature sensor, a bad thermal fuse or the control board. Uneven baking often points to the convection element or fan, or a miscalibrated sensor.

Temperature sensor or thermistor fault (F1 / F2)
F1 and F2 indicate an oven thermistor error, an open or shorted sensor sending bad resistance to the control board and causing wrong temperatures or shutdowns. We test the sensor's resistance and replace the thermistor when it's out of spec.

Control board or communication error (F11)
The main board to display fault (F11) hits wall ovens too, and double wall ovens add a second control zone that can fault on its own. Symptoms are a frozen or blank display and a cycle that won't start, so we inspect the harness or replace the board.

Self clean lock or door latch failure
High heat self clean cycles stress the door lock motor and can trip thermal cutoffs, leaving the door stuck locked or the oven unable to start. We repair the latch and lock assembly or perform a proper cool down reset.
Cooktops
LG Cooktop Repair
LG sells standalone cooktops in gas, electric radiant and induction, including premium LG SIGNATURE UltraHeat gas and Edge to Edge glass ceramic models. The failures center on element and burner heating, induction inverter faults, and glass touch control glitches. We know the difference between a real fault and a cooktop that's fine but reading an induction pan wrong, so you get the right repair.

Element or burner not heating
A radiant zone or gas burner that won't heat traces to a failed element or surface switch on radiant tops, or a weak, dirty igniter and clogged burner ports on gas. On induction, a pan that isn't induction compatible or is too small for the zone can read as not heating even when the cooktop is fine.

Induction inverter fault (F3)
On induction cooktops F3 is an inverter or power module fault, more serious than the touch key F3 on ranges and often tied to overheating or a failed inverter board. A breaker power cycle may clear a transient event, but a recurring F3 needs board level service.

Touch controls unresponsive or erratic
Glass touch cooktops can register phantom presses or stop responding from moisture, spills or grease on the panel, a crack over a sensor, or a failing control board. We start by cleaning and drying the panel, and if the fault persists we trace it to the control board.

Cracked glass ceramic surface
The tempered glass ceramic surface can crack from impact, thermal shock or a dropped pot, which disables the affected zone for safety and can trip a fault on induction. A cracked surface isn't repairable, so we replace the full glass top.
Dryers
LG Dryer Repair
LG makes a broad dryer lineup, vented electric and gas plus ventless heat pump models, in front load form with TurboSteam, Sensor Dry, FlowSense and ThinQ. The dominant themes are airflow and venting, heating, and no dry complaints, and a clogged vent throwing a d80 or d90 code is one of the most common LG service calls in LA, especially in older homes with long or crushed vent runs. Clogged vent / FlowSense (d80, d90, d95)
d80, d90 and d95 are FlowSense duct restriction warnings for roughly 80 to 90 percent, over 90 percent, and near total blockage of the exhaust path. As the clog worsens the dryer runs longer, cools down and eventually stops to prevent overheating, so we clear the lint filter, vent hose, wall duct and exterior flap.

Dryer not heating
No heat complaints usually come from a blown thermal fuse (often triggered by a blocked vent), a failed heating element, a bad thermostat or thermistor, or on gas models a failed igniter or gas valve coils. On electric dryers a tripped breaker or lost 240V leg also produces tumble with no heat.

Not drying or long dry times
Clothes still damp after a full cycle usually means restricted airflow (clogged filter, crushed hose, blocked duct or stuck flap) or a fouled moisture sensor that ends cycles early. Cleaning the sensor bars and restoring airflow resolves most cases before any parts are needed.

Noise or drum not turning
Squealing, thumping or a drum that won't spin points to a worn drum belt, a failed idler pulley, worn drum rollers or a bad blower wheel. A snapped belt lets the motor run while the drum stays still, and these are wear items on higher mileage machines.

What does my LG error code mean, and which ones need a technician?
A few are worth knowing. On dryers, d80, d90 and d95 are FlowSense vent restriction warnings, so start by clearing the lint filter and vent, and call us if it comes back. On the oven or range, F9 means it isn't reaching temperature, F11 is a control to display communication fault, and F1, F2 or F3 point to sensor or touch panel issues. On the fridge, Er FF is the evaporator fan, Er IF is the ice maker, and Er CF is the condenser fan. When a code returns after a power cycle, it's a service call.
